Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information HelloElectri collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the app, and we never sell your data.
1. Information we collect
Account details. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile basics (name, email, profile photo) to create your account.
Business data you enter. To provide the Service, we store the records you create, such as: sites and contract values, workers and engineers, attendance, salaries/wages, advances, expenses, payments, billing and outstanding amounts, and the names and phone numbers of local customers you add.
Payment information. Subscription payments are handled by Razorpay. We do not store your full card or bank details — Razorpay processes them. We keep a record of payments made (amount, date, status) to manage your subscription.
Technical & usage data. We collect basic technical information needed to run and secure the app, such as your device/browser type, a session cookie to keep you logged in, when you were last active, and error logs if something goes wrong.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — store your records and calculate profit, wages, and outstanding amounts.
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To process subscription payments and manage your trial and access.
- To contact you about your account, important updates, or support — including by email or WhatsApp.
- To fix problems and improve the app (for example, using error logs).
- To run the referral program, if you take part.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the app, under appropriate safeguards:
- Google — if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Razorpay — to process subscription payments.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — to securely store and serve your data.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
Share links. If you create a public share link for a record, anyone with that link can view the limited information it contains until the link expires (12 hours). These links deliberately exclude sensitive figures such as cost, margin, and profit. Only share them with people you trust.
4. Data storage, security & location
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers and protected with industry-standard measures including encrypted connections and access controls. Your login session uses a secure, httpOnly cookie. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. Data may be stored on servers located outside India.
5. Data retention & deletion
- We keep your data for as long as your account is active.
- When you delete a record (such as a payment or expense), it is held for a 24-hour recovery window so you can undo mistakes, then removed.
- If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep some records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
6. Your rights & choices
You can access and update most of your information directly in the app (for example, your name and phone number on the Profile page). You may also ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by contacting us. You can withdraw consent or close your account at any time.
7. Workers' and customers' data
When you add details about your workers or customers (such as names and phone numbers), you are responsible for handling their information lawfully and for informing them as needed. We process this data on your behalf, only to provide the Service to you.
8. Children
HelloElectri is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
